As part of my role in the NHS, managing staff and human resource management came as an integral part of my job. It was obvious that the interaction I had with my staff was key and I wanted to support them in the best way possible. To that end I decided to retrain with Newcastle College and gained a Diploma in Positive Impact Coaching in the Workplace. This was the catalyst to me becoming a fully trained personal coach with the largest and fastest growing 'Coaching Academy' in Britain. There I gained a Diploma in Personal Performance Coaching and a Certificate in NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming).
In addition to Coaching I have a vast wealth of life experience and knowledge gained from working in the NHS for the past 16 years. Alongside coaching I work part time as a Locality Manager for the local Primary Care Trust. I am lucky enough to be regularly updating and using my skills within the NHS as well as privately. This gives me a great deal of knowledge in coaching and working in a large organisation as well as seeing individuals. Whilst my background has been in a public organisation and health, coaching principles can be used and applied across any discipline.
As well as knowledge of change management I have had training in assertiveness, presentation skills, managing priorities, programme management, facilitation, conducting appraisals, recruitment and selection, Root Cause Analysis and Neruo-Linguistic Programming.
Along with one-to-one coaching I can offer telephone consultations and can work within a group setting.
I live in the beautiful surroundings of Dartmoor with my family.
